Description
Since 1930 Farabi Hospital has gone through 3 generations of buildings, the first time opening in 1946. In 1980 the building came to be called Farabi Teaching Hospital, as the surrounding land was turned over to the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). The new building with an area of 23000 m2 opened several years later and added to the old buildings. Some of the departments in this establishment are:

Retina, vitreous, ROP, and oncology department
Strabismus and pediatric department
Orbit and oculoplastic department
Glaucoma department
Ocular trauma and emergency department
